Our story

The ideas and inspirations behind our silk scarves.

With a background in design, founder Kevin Lacroix wanted to create artwork that could be worn. During a visit to a silk village in Chiang Mai, seeing patterns and colours on silk helped bring that idea into focus.

Kevin fell in love with Thailand many years ago and has since lived between Thailand and France. The designs are developed in France, and the scarves are made in Thailand.

The name combines soie, the French word for silk, with Siam, a former name used for Thailand.

Silk as a material

Silk is smooth to the touch and drapes softly. Its surface shows colour and detail, while the way it catches light can make shades appear different across the folds.

Designed for the square

Each design is composed to work as a whole and in the sections visible when the scarf is folded or tied. Borders, lines and colour placement are considered with these different views in mind.

Les Éditions features illustrated compositions inspired by travel and unexpected combinations of colour. The Essentials pairs the monogram with repeated patterns and quieter palettes. The two collections offer different visual approaches to wearing silk.

Wear it your way

Drape the scarf over your shoulders, tie it loosely around your neck or attach it to a bag. Choose it for its colours, then make it your own through the way you wear it.
